Ein Mann und eine Frau, frontal gefilmt vor schwarzem Hintergrund, werden auf zwei gegenüberliegende Wände projiziert. Beide Personen geben jeweils zwei Sätze von sich. Einen Satz der unbedingten Liebe und einen des bitteren Hasses (Make of our hands one hand, make of our hearts one heart, make of our vows one last vow, only death will part us now – If one of you was lying in the streets bleeding, I’d walk by and spit on you). Der Ton wurde so bearbeitet, dass die weibliche und die männliche Stimme bei der Intonierung der Sätze wortweise wechseln und dennoch mit der Frau oder dem Mann in den Projektionen verknüpft sind. Die Darsteller sind ein palästinensischer Mann und eine israelische Frau.

Each performer acts out two sentences, one of absolute love, the other of violent hatred*.
The sentences are taken from the movie West Side Story (USA 1961) and the audio has been edited so that, even if the couple remains separated, the voices blend together, the male and female voices shifting from one word to the next, with both voices alternately coming out of the performers lips.
The two performers are a Palestinian man and an Israeli woman.
